T_Hoops

Over the last year, I have been volunteering down at the Home Missions office with Pastor Nash and Mrs. Christie Friestad.  This opportunity has allowed me to help out with the extensive work done within the Home Missions department and has also, in turn, been a chance to attain some Christian service credits along the way.  The things I have learned while giving of my time is incredible and will be tremendously useful to me in the future!  It has been an honor to be a part of the hands and feet that serve God’s Kingdom. - Emily Hoops

T_Horneman“In working with Home Missions I have seen God at work! It has been incredible to see how God has changed and molded me as I have been actively serving Him in very practical ways. Consider experiencing God's work in a very tangible way, come join us!”  Micah Horneman
T_Raun“It has been such a blessing in my life to be able to work with Home Missions as a Summer Team member and as a Parish Builder. I have met many dear friends that have truly become my family. I have come to realize that not only Home Missions but the whole AFLC is a family, a family that needs each other.” Brent Raan
T_Jore“Home Missions is a great place to volunteer! I’ve been so encouraged seeing God working in people’s lives and its been such a blessing to play a small part in that, through ministry and participation in prayer. The opportunities are endless…paper folding, envelope stuffing, door knocking, and even plane flying! There’s plenty to do…give it a try.” Adela Jore

As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. (I Peter 4:10)

If you have an excitement for missions, home and abroad, and are looking for ways to get involved, “Mission Opportunities” is the place for you. Many Christians want to use their resources to serve others, but either don’t know where to begin, or feel limited by location or finances. But maybe you DO have a good eye for taking pictures, or designing a PowerPoint, or have a few extra hours to stuff missionary newsletters into envelopes or time to wash a mission airplane.

>>Matching Resources with Needs

This AFLC “Mission Opportunities” page is the place to start, describing current ministry needs and opportunities from the World and Home Mission offices, areas you can actively come along side our support staff in spreading the Word of God and ministering to AFLC congregations around the world.

You don’t have to live in Minneapolis, MN to help our offices, although some opportunities are available here. Many of these opportunities are remote projects, things you can do on your home computer, using creative skills that you already have. We’ve broken down the descriptions to by estimated time and qualifications. This list is regularly updated as projects are completed and new opportunities come up. We encourage you to pray about how the Lord can use your gifts and time to further His Kingdom.
